Monique Dixon joined the Avalon Health Care Team in 2019 as a Regional Director of Senior Living, responsible primarily for managed properties in California. December of 2020, Monique was appointed Director of Senior Living responsible for the operations of the current portfolio of managed Senior Living Communities in Washington, California, Oregon and Utah. Prior to joining Avalon, Monique was an Operations Specialist for Brookdale’s Mountain West Division, after 3 years as the Area Manager for Southern Oregon Goodwill’s mission services programs in Siskiyou County. Monique holds designation Nationally as a Certified Director of Assisted Living, as well as RCF/ARF administrator certifications in California and Oregon.
Monique has experience and certifications in a variety of specialties that contribute to her robust knowledge of business operations and regulatory compliance. She has worked in Economic Development, writing & auditing grants for EPA, HUD & CDBG programs for cities & counties and holds certification as an Economic Development Finance Professional. From the University of Washington, she has the National Certificate in Employment Services, and spent 7 years as a governmental accountant/auditor with the County of Siskiyou in California. She has successfully owned and operated her own consulting firms with clients such as HCR Manor Care, IBM and the California Department of Rehabilitation.

Monique has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Jones College. She resides in Siskiyou County, California and is the proud mother of 2 children and 4 grandchildren.
