Carl Tippets has been a Director of Avalon Health Care, Inc. since March 2007. He founded Pentalon Construction, Inc. in 1993, a company with a long history with multi-family housing, residential and commercial construction, and still serves as its Chief Executive Officer and President. Mr. Tippets has over 35 years of construction and development expertise in commercial, multi-unit and residential construction. He specializes in new project development and implementation, project and procedure management and pre-construction services. Pentalon Construction has worked on commercial buildings such as medical, condominium, educational, civil/municipal, office and retail and tenant improvement.
Prior to Pentalon, he gained a comprehensive range of industry experience as a builder, contractor, project superintendent and manager. He maintains General Contractor Licenses in Arizona, Utah, Nevada, Idaho, Oregon, Montana, Washington and Wyoming. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Associated Builders & Contractors Association, both locally and nationally. He is an instructor of Construction Procedures and Management seminars, has been a guest instructor of Construction Management programs at Brigham Young University, and was appointed by Utah Governor Huntsman as member of the Construction Services Commission.
Mr. Tippets obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree from Brigham Young University in 1978. He has completed post graduate work in Business at BYU and is a graduate of the Owner/President/Manager Program at Harvard University, where he was enrolled from 2000 through 2003.
Mr. Tippets is married with five children and ten grandchildren.
